All Families We Support, Our Funders, Friends And All
New Hope North East would like to extend our best wishes to you all and for staying safe.
Following the Government’s announcement for lockdown in March, we suspended all face-to-face activities.
However, regardless of the situation, we are managing to provide the much-needed activities for both parents and children. This has been made possible as a result of outstanding support and help from our funders namely, The Ballinger Trust, Inspire, The National Lottery Community Fund, The Barbour Foundation Trust, Tesco, Groundwork, and Greggs.
We are doing the best we can to keep our beneficiaries connected during the crisis. So far, NH has paid three months subscriptions for families to access Netflix, Disney + in fulfillment of the project “Fig Tree Youth Arts” where young people are mentored to write short stories from the movies they would have watched and publish a book from a collection of their stories and arts.
We have also started running virtual activities for both children and parents through online meetings via ZOOM. Children are enjoying arts and crafts and Friday Fun Club funded by The Ballinger Trust. “Parents Forum” meets once a week for the “My voice, my health and wellbeing” program sponsored by Inspire CVS. Families have received soil and vegetable seeds from Panganai for the project “Grow, Cook and Serve” funded by National Lottery Community Fund.
We will continue with our commitment to provide the above activities until government advice allows us to resume face to face activities again.
Many thanks to you all for your support.
With best wishes and stay safe.
